We took a 5yr old Labrador Angel for the "re-starter" class. We had all gone a bit feral and needed Angel to be calmer and walk on the lead. Roy is very passionate and clearly has found his calling in life! Fantastic understanding of each dog & human and everyone will learn so much and more from these classes. We have a much calmer and stimulated dog now, who can walk on lead so much better. Will be doing other classes and maybe a few private classes. I came across Roy, dog behaviour trainer/instructer (Learn Doglish),  totally by chance when I was at hydrotherapy with my older boxer. Obviously it was my lucky day ! We have just completed the Re-Starter class at Learn Doglish.  We are so pleased we chose Roy.  His training style is very much based on kindness.  No harsh tools are used - far from it.  Everything is about encouragement and not force.  Our newly homed rescue Lurcher has really improved since joining the classes and has loved every minute of it. Our main focus has been to work on Dougal's prey drive (being the Lurcher that he is!) and instill the value of us as his paw parents.  I would describe Roy as a man with an abundance of patience, generous with his time and having a real understanding of dog language and behaviour.  We have signed up for the next level of class and are very much looking forward to continuing to improve our understanding of our dog and enhance Dougal's life with us.

Our Bonnie  did a 6 week course with learn Doglish
Roy the gentleman that owns the company is amazing not only does he know dog behaviour/ training he also helped us with the nutrition as well
Our Bonnie has learnt so much from learn Doglish

Not only is Roy incredibly knowledgeable about all things dogs, he is also passionate about ensuring all dogs he trains grow up to be happy, healthy and confident.

Our experience with Learn Doglish Puppy Class was excellent. Roy used lots of modelling to actually train the handlers rather than the dogs, embedding all of the activities as the hard work happens everyday, not just in the class. Also, Roy’s training is grounded in evidence and behavioural psychology of dogs, so it is clear that what he teaches, works and works well.

We have a happy and relaxed puppy who doesn’t pull on the lead and goes in his crate happily. We’ve signed up for the next class and can’t wait.

We followed both puppy and junior class with Roy. He’s an amazing trainer and even after a couple of sessions and following his instructions, Whiskey was a different dog. He makes everything seem a game to the pups (which is how it should be) and most importantly he trains us! It’s clear that Roy loves what he does and that shows in the results of the puppies and dogs he trains. I can’t recommend him more for anyone who wishes to train their dog at whatever age they may be.
