Stephen Neale27/09/2026I took my puppy to Roy and it was amazing the things he taught us and what your puppy learns from you. Until an accident stopped me going to the last couple of classes. Bruna Moura27/09/2026I was scared to find a good trainer for my Samoyed puppy as they have a reputation of being a difficult breed. However, I took Roy’s puppy foundation session and was feeling confident afterwards. He reassured us that it is possible for our Samoyed to be well behaved just like any other breeds. After our session with Roy, it has been a lot easier to manage having a puppy. He sent us several exercises to do throughout the day and a schedule. His exercises are not just tricks and commands but games for desensitising, preventing behavioural issues which is something that is easy to forget until it’s too late. He has supported us with crate training and potty training. Above that he checks up on us, gives us tips and sends videos when we need help. I sincerely recommend Roy if you’re looking for a trainer and support.Posted on Google
Susan Harrison25/09/2026Me & my partner booked 1 to 1 lessons with Roy to help us with our greyhound and I’m so glad we did! The lessons were enjoyable, interesting and incredibly helpful. We wanted help teaching our dog recall, but also there were a few behavioural issues we wanted help with & Roy was able to advise us with all of that, as well as loads of extra tips that came up here and there from food tips, to harness placement. It’s made a HUGE positive difference to our relationship with our lovely dog. Also, an unexpected benefit of training has been how much calmer he’s been now that his brain is being exercised & now that he understands what our expectations are of him. As a retired racing greyhound it’s his first time being a pet (!) so he’s learning, as are we. I’d hugely recommend Roy, he’s knowledgeable and always has the dog’s best interests at heart. Katherine jg G13/09/2026Hi Roy, We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the help and wonderful training you gave us with our first, very over reactive, GSD rescue before we moved from London. Very sadly, after 6 precious years, we lost her suddenly to cancer at the beginning of the summer and were completely devastated. However, we thought the best way to honour her would be to try and help another rescue GSD; everything you taught us and everything we learned for her gave us the confidence to first foster and now adopt our Luna, who had been in kennels for 10 months. We will love and miss our girl forever but don't think she could have a better legacy than helping us to help another, so thank you so much for all you have done for them both!Posted on Google
Reegan Todd08/09/2026We have been training with Roy for several months now and are incredibly grateful for all of his help. When we first met Roy, we could hardly take our dog, Merlin, anywhere. Merlin is a lovely dog, but he was terrified of almost everything, and after moving house etc, this fear developed into reactivity. Thanks to Roy's support and expertise, we are now able to take Merlin out to public places, and he has made huge improvements around other dogs as well. We have worked with a few dog trainers over the years, and Roy is by far the best, not only in terms of the quality of his training but also the value for money he provides. We genuinely could not recommend Roy highly enough. The progress Merlin has made has been amazing, and the difference it has made to our lives has honestly been life-changing for both us and our dog. Anna Botros28/08/2026We are currently half way through 1-2-1 sessions that I booked for our dog regarding some behaviours I was stuck with and really needed some help and guidance with. After listening to a lot of conflicting advice online from different trainers, I booked a block of 1-2-1 sessions, so that I could get my children involved too and I must say it's been worth every penny so far. Roy is very encouraging, kind and patient with training and I'm sure there are times he must want to eye roll us sometimes with bad habits we had created, but Roy is such a friendly person and the training is very relaxed. My children also love getting involved too and learning tips from Roy who is a huge source of experience and knowledge. We have asked so many questions and sometimes Roy explains things so clearly and from a dog's perspective that they actually seem quite obvious when he says it out loud, but we didn't get it before! Thanks to Roy, we've also completely changed our dog's diet and it has improved significantly for the better and our dog is enjoying the change too. We ask lots of questions and we feel we can open up to Roy about any questions or concerns we have and he is happy to answer our questions and explains things thoroughly. We learn so much in the sessions which fly by, but it is also very useful with the follow up PDF's and videos that he sends afterwards to make sure our understanding is correct after a full on session with lots of information. I cannot believe the progress we have made in such a small amount of time and I look forward to seeing what else we can learn in the remaining of our 1-2-1 classes. If you are thinking about booking Roy - just do it, you won't be disappointed. Roy - thanks again for all your help so far. Ezra Pieterson13/08/2026I can think of so many more reasons missing Roy's class would be a mistake. Training a new puppy is hard as it is rewarding. What the puppy class did for us was provide a clear structure demonstrated by Roy and a community of great peers and their pups whom we could share experiences with. I couldn't recommend Learn Doglish enough.Posted on Google

Roy is really knowledgeable, encouraging and clearly cares so much about all the dogs he comes across. You get tons of support both in and outside the classes. We've learnt so much as dog parents and our lurcher puppy Lyra is doing really well thanks to Roy. Big recommend!Posted on Google
Guy Tav09/08/2026An absolutely wonderful experience with Roy and Learn Doglish. Positive reinforcement is absolutely the way to go. Roy is so knowledgeable and experienced and expertly takes into account the needs of different breeds, ages and circumstances. My partner and I have learnt so much and the girls have improved beautifully. We are all so much more confident now in our training and behaviours. We will be back for another course 100%. Robyn Burton05/08/2026We signed our two 18 month old girls up for Roy's junior classes and they've been absolutely amazing. He is clearly very knowledgable and provides a massive amount of support in the form of PDF manuals and videos. It's massively improved our confidence in training. And have recommended him to friends! Hoping to do junior again or junior plus as the girls also enjoy their weekly sessions!
