Thank you for choosing to train with Learn Doglish
EXCELLENT Based on 52 reviews Posted on Hasan Chowdhury11/10/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I signed up to both the Puppy Foundation and Puppy classes with Roy from Learn Doglish, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. His positive, no-nonsense approach has been great for both me and my pup, Albus. The training is practical, straightforward, and everything makes sense – the homework exercises are constructive and genuinely work if you put in the time each day. The classes are great fun – really interactive, full of real-life examples, and you get immediate feedback throughout. Roy keeps things engaging and tailored to each dog, which makes every session fly by. What really sets him apart is his support outside of class. Roy is always available on WhatsApp, answering questions, reviewing videos, and providing detailed, constructive feedback that helps you refine your technique and build confidence. I’m so proud that Albus won the Best Dog award in our class, and we’ve already booked onto the junior sessions. We’ll be working hard for another trophy – and with Roy’s guidance, I’m confident we’ll get there! 😃Posted on Kim Horwood11/10/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Thank you for everything Roy, it has been informative and fun, it wasn’t easy with two siblings from the same litter, but we got a lot out of the experience, your advice has been well and gratefully received - I will definitely consider further classes - thank you again and to the rest of the Puppy handlers for a very pleasant experience - I strongly recommend you to anybody looking for an experienced trainer for there fur buddyPosted on vanessa fook22/09/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. His advice has given us the tools and confidence we need, and we’ve already seen a big improvement in our dog, Pippin. Roy went above and beyond, spending more than the allocated time with us to make sure we were set up for success. He was patient, knowledgeable, and really cared about helping us get the best results. I would highly recommend Roy to anyone looking for dog training support!Posted on Tina Zhang03/09/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend Roy. I first came to him after my dog, Scruffy, was labeled aggressive and even pushed out by his dog walker. I felt guilty, thinking I wasn’t being a good handler, and knew I needed to make a change. Over the course of six private lessons, I learned so much from Roy. He doesn’t just train the dog—he teaches the owner too. He helped me understand what Scruffy is really thinking and what he needs from me as his handler. Now, I’m happy to say that my relationship with Scruffy is stronger than ever, and he trusts me more. Also, I understand him much better, and our walks are so much more pleasant—he no longer pulls on the lead or lunges. Thank you Roy! His knowledge of dogs snd their behaviour knows no bounds. After just one session with our rescue cocker spaniel Dora, we could see the difference in her. We did a few one-to-one sessions with Roy to start with then a Re-Starter course and a Junior course. And we intend to do more. Roy makes the classes fun and informative. He backs everything up with videos, pdfs and info so you can continue training at home. He’s also on hand to answer any questions you may have. If you need a dog trainer, you can’t go wrong with Learn Doglish.Posted on C Flatts20/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Roy is a fantastic handler and trainer, he has so much knowledge and shares this without judgement - he is really helping with my Freya Girl after we sent her to a residential training camp which did not do her well. We are continuing with his help - 5 starts and above :-)Posted on Lynne Chamberlain08/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Roy Williams is an excellent teacher. Very kind, understanding and is an absolutely no nonsense dog trainer. After a couple of months I decided that me and lovely Coco, a nearly-three year old labrador-weimaraner, needed training. I was unable to control her impulsive, dangerous, chasing off after other animals - and some humans! - be it in the streets or fields. Someone recommended Roy of Doglish. I learned so much with Roy. More importantly so did Coco. She learned how to stay by my side when walking, and return to me when called! These two things were needed so much. I'm hugely delighted that it's been achieved. I drive, and Coco has learned how to wait until all is calmer (a major result!) before she gets into and out the car. During training with Roy I was provided with videos and homework to reinforce my learning. Very helpful indeed. Many thanks to Roy of Learn Doglish. A really wonderful and enlightening experience! I would like to reinforce my one to one learning, therefore I'll be doing more with Coco in a Re-starter course soon, where we'll be training with other dogs. Thanks again! Lynne ChamberlainPosted on Chris and Becky27/03/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I truly cannot thank Roy enough for everything he has taught us. About three months ago, we adopted a 10-week-old Goldendoodle puppy. Even though this wasn’t our first dog and we had done a lot to prepare—reading countless articles, watching hours of YouTube videos—I quickly realized we were in over our heads. Our sweet puppy was more like a tiny grizzly bear, and nothing we were doing seemed to help. Thankfully, the parents of one of her littermates recommended Roy, and I’m so glad we gave him a try. We enrolled in his 6-week puppy course and also scheduled an additional in-home visit to help with crate training and some pretty intense demand barking. The difference between the dog we had seven weeks ago and the dog we have today is incredible—they're like two different animals. I'll admit, at first, I was hesitant. Roy's rates are lower than many other trainers in the area, and I wondered if that meant he wouldn’t be as effective. I am so happy to report that I believe Roy is not just "as good"—he is the very best. It's clear his pricing reflects his passion and genuine love for what he does, not a lack of skill or experience. A few things stood out to me right away: his well-organized, thoughtful website, which gives you access to tons of helpful resources once you're in the program, and the logical, step-by-step structure of his training. You’re never left guessing what comes next, and it all just makes sense. I was also initially unsure about the outdoor setting—rain, mud, the whole thing isn't really my thing—but after taking the class, I totally get it. He intentionally chooses a real-world environment to help you and your dog learn how to work through distractions and conditions you’ll encounter in everyday life. And finally, Roy is incredibly responsive. I sent him a lot of texts over those seven weeks, and he never once made me feel like I was a bother. He was always quick to reply and genuinely happy to help. If you’re on the fence for any reason—whether it’s the price, the outdoor setting, or just general hesitation—do yourself and your dog a favor and make the commitment. You’ll be so glad you did.
